James J. Chiodo, a resident of Yonkers, NY passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the age of 92.
James proudly served his country in the US Army during the Battle of the Bulge. He later received a Purple Heart and 2 Bronze Stars for his courageous efforts in battle. Prior to retirement, James was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service. James was the loving husband of the late Rita. Devoted father of Anthony J. (Lori Ann) and Veronica (Glenn) Seiferth. Cherished grandfather of James A. Chiodo and Jacquelyn (Stephen) Salisbury. James was the loving brother of the late Joseph (the late Violet) Chiodo, the late George (Susan) Chiodo and Donald (Sandra) Chiodo.

Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, December 30th 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 5 Strathmore Road, Scarsdale, NY. James will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson. The family will be present on Friday, December 29th from 4 to 9 PM at F. Ruggiero & Sons, Inc. – 732 Yonkers Avenue - Yonkers, NY 10704 (914) 375-1400.
