Obituary of Nelson Felipe Perdomo

Nelson Perdomo, loving husband to Keethy Acevedo and proud father to Michael, Nelson, Donald and Richard, has passed away at the age of 58. Born in Mao, Dominican Republic to Juana and Pedro Perdomo, he immigrated to the United States in 1985. Married for 38 years to the love of his life, Nelson first met Keethy as a young kid in the Dominican Republic. They were married in 1982 and worked hard to create a loving home for their children, full of life and laughter. A true example of the American Dream, he built a legacy from the ground up, becoming a pillar for his family and the community. Never one to turn away a friend or family member in need, Nelson (Moreno) Sr. was beloved by all that knew him. Growing up in a big family himself, he loved to share his life with family and friends, opening his home to celebrate any occasion. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his wife and boys, finding purpose in life through his love for them. A deeply intelligent and worldly man, Nelson was a lover of fine arts like theater, music and poetry. As a young child in the DR, he was often invited to recite poetry at special events and earned the nickname El poeta del Reyno. Nelson is survived by his beloved wife and children, and through them, his passion for a well loved life carries on. The family will be present on Sunday, August 2nd from 4-8 PM at Ruggiero & Sons, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Services - 732 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704 - (914) 375-1400. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 3rd - 10 AM at the Funeral Home. Nelson will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery - 50 Jackson Avenue - Hastings on Hudson, NY 10706. www.frswfh.com _________________________________________________ Nelson Perdomo, amado esposo de Keethy Acevedo y orgulloso padre de Michael, Nelson, Donald y Richard, falleció a la edad de 58 años.
