Obituary of Angelo Maiello

Angelo Maiello, a resident of Yonkers passed away on January 15, 2021 at the age of 78. He was born in Naples, Italy to the late Nicola and Angelina Maiello. Angelo came to the Bronx at the age of 16 and worked hard as a carpenter, to provide for his family and fulfill the American Dream. He retired from Local 608. Angelo was the loving father of Angela (Peter Cummins) and Michelle (Steven Palombo). He was the dear brother of Maria Morgillo and Patrick (Barbara) & Giovanni (Lucy) Maiello and brother-in-law of Pasquale Tartaglione and was predeceased by 10 siblings. Angelo is survived by his ex-wife, companion and friend, Annette Maiello, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. If you prefer, donations in Angelo's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, www.STJUDE.org. The family will be present on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 5 - 9 PM at Ruggiero & Sons, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Services - 732 Yonkers Avenue - Yonkers, NY 10704 (914) 375-1400. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Barnabas Church on Friday at 10:45 AM. Following the Mass, Angelo will be laid to rest Gate of Heaven Cemetery (Hawthorne, NY). Please Note: Due to CDC guidelines, we are required (by law) to limit the visitation to a maximum of 50 guests at a time. If you are not immediate family, please consider making your visit a brief one. Please wear a mask upon entry into the funeral home. If you are not feeling well or do not feel comfortable, please DO NOT enter the funeral home.
